Testing MS D365 F&O

Many organisations are adopting Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance and Operations as a replacement for their existing ERP system. Testing of ERP implementation always comes with challenges considering such applications are an integral part of organisations.

It is always good to start testing early in the design phase so that testers can pick up the solution through the workshops and showcasing sessions and contribute by reviewing requirements and identifying data and integration dependencies.

It is good to have a focus on end-to-end processes earlier in testing along with testing of the functional features. Utilise the tools like RSAT for preparing regression suite.

In the large programme where I got involved, these are the test phases which worked for the successful delivery of ERP implementation.
